How much do you spend every month on energy alone? Whether we want to power our cellphones, our lights and refrigerator, our computers or our cars, we are constantly consuming power in this technology driven world.
The thing here is, we shouldn’t have to pay by simple economic rules. Rules like scarcity. The rarer something is, the more valuable it is. That presupposes that something that is abundant should be cheap – right? Well, if something is infinitely abundant, shouldn’t that make it free?
So should we pay for petrol? Absolutely. It’s finite and harms the planet – it’s only fair it harms our wallets as well – the thing is, we don’t need petrol when we have so many energy alternatives that are (or should be) completely free, never run out and cause no ecological damage whatsoever.
